Subject: Astral Form
Observer: Dr. Terrence Thirteen
Excerpt from "Astral Projection as Surveillance: Field Test Series": Subject BB1967 attained alpha state at 10:53 A.M. followed by a drop in cerebral electrical levels to plant-like levels. At 10:54 A.M., three remote sites began pre-arranged activities. At site one, a researcher read a novel. At site two, a closed safe held a message. At site three, two researchers held a conversation on research projects while a bomb was hidden in a nearby filing cabinet. All three sites were equipped with a variety of energy detectors. None showed any shifts in the local energy levels. At 11:00 P.M., Subject BB1967 regained consciousness. He identified the novel and page number at site one, repeated the message from site two, and tried to repeat details of the physics discussion. He missed the bomb in the filing cabinet.
Subject: Empathy
Excerpt from Central City PD records: Brave and Bold Magazine was holding its annual Hero-Con at the Richard Sprang Colosseum. Attendance was 7000 civilians and a handful of lesser metahumans and retired mystery men. Security cameras showed Psycho-Pirate appeared in the main hallway, wearing his mask. He was apparently not recognized as the real thing. He managed to get to the stage before anyone confronted him. At this point, the Psycho-Pirate took off his mask. He made a frightened face at the left half of the audience. They immediately broke into a panicked flight. Psycho-Pirate then turned to the right half of the audience and made an angry face. Those looking at him began to attack other members of the crowd. Psycho-Pirate watched the melee for a few minutes and then walked away. The riot lasted for approximately ten minutes after his departure.

He's in Metropolis. But where? I'm looking... Wait, he's turning. He's looking... He's looking at me? HE'S LOOKING AT ME! Those EYES! MY HEAD! AARGH!"

Interviewee: Hank Osier, Atlantic City resident in 1943
Excerpt from Interview: The Nazis had these tanks that swam underwater. Three of them were coming ashore at Atlantic City, starting to fire their cannons. It looked like curtains. Then Roy Lincoln, the Human Bomb, showed up! He snuck up on the first tank and touched it with his bare hand. The side of the tank blew up like it had been hit by a bazooka! Then he ran after the other two Ratzi tanks and blew them up too! Me and the boys grabbed the Ratzis as they climbed out of their tanks. They couldn't fight any more. Couldn't hear either!

Interviewee: Jimmy Olsen
Excerpt from Interview: Professor Potter was trying out a new invention of his, the Retrovision Viewerscope. It looked like a television set but had this weird set of antenna on the back. I asked if he could get "Wild Kingdom" on that teevee. He laughed and asked if this was wild enough as he pointed toward the screen. Jeepers, Miss Lane, I was looking at a bunch of hairy elephants walking along a shoreline. Professor Potter laughed and said we were watching a herd of wooly mammoths move through Metropolis 63,250 years ago.
